Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Children are the most special gift that we can ever receive. They bring life and happiness into the rooms they enter. It is up to us to share the word of the Lord and teach them the ways of life. Their hands are small and inexperienced and we should not expect perfection when they throw a ball or color a picture outside the lines. When we walk side by side with them we should slow down and enjoy life through their eyes. Our children are only little once and will not be that way for long, we should make time for them, now. Their feelings are so fragile and minds so inquisitive, give them the attention and knowledge for a fruitful life. Children are truly a treasure and should be treated as God intended. They should be given discipline with love, guidelines as God has given us and hold them accountable as we will be accountable in front of our father. Give them freedom to make decisions, permit them to fall, so they can learn to walk. Give them encouragement to grow and prosper, correct them when they are wrong without criticizing. Do not give empty praise, give them praise when they have achieved. Don’t hold them to expectations of others, each child grows and learns at their own pace. Be sure to take them to the house of the Lord, they too will benefit from scriptures as they grow.

Christians

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

With the world changing around us and people from all over the world with different beliefs, it has become quite difficult to speak of religion in the workplace without offending someone. The combination of religions is creating new challenges and new demands in the workplace. Employers have to make accommodations to demonstrate a greater sensitivity towards all religions. We should all have tolerance and understanding of the various religious beliefs. We can express our religious views without imposing our religious beliefs onto others.

We should live our christianity in everything we do.What we do speaks volumes. We should be kind to others . “Treat others as you would want to be treated”. We should show great care in what we do.We must use common sense when we deal with one another; if you have a true relationship with Christ, you do not have to worry about keeping score of your good deeds, you naturally do the kind and loving thing.

That you are a true Christians means you have a relationship with Christ and you reflect Him in your everyday activities. You can not help it and automatically do the kind and loving thing Jesus would want you to do. You are human and fall at times, you have limits, you are not God, however you can share his love with others. Follow his steps.

“The chocking game”

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Did you hear about the chocking game? In the news today the sad comment was reported about an 11 yearold boy from Nebraska who died playing this game. Parents should be alerted to this deadly game.
This game is an unhealthy activity that children get exposed by other children. Years back I was visiting with a family and I noticed that their children were playing this game, it made me nauseated to see such thing.
I alerted the parents to the fact that their children were playing this game. They did not see anything wrong with it. I chose to have nothing to do with this family, it was a real threat to my family because my children were little at the time.
The way I see it,this type of behavior is a violent behavior. I was told by those who play the chocking game that it is fun! The reword is that they get a high and they want to do it over and over again.
Parents should know about this dangerous game. Please talk to your children about not playing this chocking game, they can lose their lives, there is no turning back. STOP! Adults take responsibility, guide your children, show them how to play other safe games.

Religious beliefs

Monday, March 29th, 2010

If your office is anything like my mine, there are not many people that share their religious beliefs (if they have any) because of the fear of being ridiculed. There are many people in the workplace that do not worship regularly or do not have a faith base so when you do mention religion everyone right away thinks that you are some kind of radical. Religion in the workplace has become so difficult in the past decade and one has to be very careful that they do not offend anybody.

So how would one go about sharing their faith in the workplace? First, we should consider a quiet testimony; this one speaks louder with any words. You should be a loyal and faithful employee and not bad mouth your employer or co-workers. After all no one is perfect, so why should we think we will have the perfect boss or colleagues. When you are working for the Lord, you will have the ability to handle on the job stress while treating others with kindness and patients. You can speak volumes by “walking the walk” and being an example of a true Christian by not involving yourself in gossip and abusing the employers time. We should work with all our heart, as if we are working for the Lord. With you leading by example in time the doors will open for you to share your faith with co-workers because they will come to you to ask how you do it, at that time you can then share your faith with gentleness and respect and give the reasons for your hope that you have.

Taxes, Taxes, Taxes!

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

I find it very painful to even think of taxes. I do not like paying them, the reality is that there is no other choice. I have listened to the latest tv and radio news regarding taxes, I am starting to feel the pressure of taxation without representation!
I know some taxes are needed to keep a country going, however when it reaches the point of excess and abuse, I do not agree ,it makes me feel violated.
Money contributions are necessary for the support of a government. I understand. If the people do not contribute, the government is not able to meet expenses. Taxes are burdensome when they are increased excessively.
I hope that our government does not abuse its power creating new ways to tax over and above what is necessary.
It is disturbing to be the object of excess taxation. I wonder when is it going to stop?
Something extraordinary will have to happen to stop the wave of unjustice and the lack of mercy exhibited by those who have the power to stop it and do not.
What can we do in the meantime? How can we cope with this great pressure caused by TAXES?
We need to speak up! We also need to pray to God for his help, he has the last word!.

Instinct

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

I can not tell how instinct works, can you? Animals and people have instincts, we all have instincts. Can you trust your instincts? It is good to have academic credentials as well as common sense, we also need to know how to use our instinct. My father was a businessman and he made use of his good instinct; he did not posess the academic credentials, inspite of that fact he did quite well for himself. He was a hardworking man, rose up early in the morning to start his day. He made many business deals that made him money, other deals did not made him any money, he used the bad deals as learning experiences. As a businessman he was respected, even though not always liked. He was a good employer, he knew who to hire or fire. He could tell if someone was lying, or he could pick up when something was not right about a business deal. He was a man of his word, when he made a deal and shook hands, it was sealed. At work and at home you could always take him at his word. He followed his instinct and his life experience to provide for his family, he was the epidemy of perseverance and tenacity.

Happiness=Doing your job with Passion!

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

No matter what your job is, do it with enthusiasm and passion! Doing your job well requires passion, if you are a receptionist, a doorman, a waiter, a mailman, a security guard, a construction worker, a busdriver, a businessmen or businesswoman, a salesperson, a nurse, a doctor, a CEO, I reiterate do your job passionately and magic will happen.
Wake up in the morning and make yourself a pledge to do your job with passion today. It is also contagious, others can benefit from your enthusiasm, passion and energy. You radiate and emanate energy in your workplace, much like a heat lamp radiates heat and light when is turned on.
You will notice that doing your job with passion gives you the strength or the fortitude to do your job even better.
What is your passion, have you found it yet? If you have not found your passion, perhaps this is the time to think aobut it. What do you love to do? What do you have fun doing? What captures your attention so much that you lose track of time? Have you found yourself doing something just for the fun of it even if you do not get paid? Be realistic, it has to be something you can do and something you love to do.object width=”480″ height=”385″>

Energy

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Energy is invisible, as invisible as air or gravity. Energy affects our daily lives. Energy is in us, we are born with it. Energy is neither good or bad, energy is energy, just as air is air or gravity is gravity. Walking and daily activity maintains your life’s energy. While a person walks the cerebral cortex relaxes opening more room for additional thought. Albert Einstein took walks in order to solve many problems. object width=”480″ height=”385″>
Back to the energy concept, people around you, sense your energy and feel invigorated by your presence.
Chinese believe that activity, particularly walking can regulate your energy, including your heart’s energy.
Energy travels in a circular fashion, if energy gets blocked illness occurs. Practicing exercises remove blockages and health can be restored. You can help others remove blockages by using Qigong and other exercises. You must be honest, sincere and have their best interest at heart, it must be done with kindness and love. You will not run out of energy, on the contrary the whole experience will recharge your body’s energy. Qigong energy can help heal the body, decreasing pain, stress and anxiety. Drinking water is very important, a balanced diet is of great value and consequence. Energy is there for the taking, share with others and you will be blessed back.
