Learning a new language opens up a new world to you, it widens your horizons. Yes, it does take time and effort, but in the end it is so worth it! It takes dedication, perseverance and tenacity to learn a second, a third or a fourth language. To become fluent in any language you must make sacrifices, if you are shy, you have to get over your shyness. If you feel embarrassed because your pronunciation has a thick accent, you are not alone, practicing and listening will help you get the words just right! Practice, practice, practice, listening is very important so your ear gets tuned in. Knowing a new language helps you help yourself and others. You can be a light to others less fortunate than you. Many people are encouraged by you, and inspired to learn a new language.
Let’s face it, we live in a competitive world, those who are learning or know a new language are empowered by the decision they are making to speak. You have much to gain as you use your “gift of tongues”! The opportunity to make more acquaintances, more friends, more money. You are more versatile in your workplace. Add to your language skill, good common sense, you have made yourself more appealing in the workplace, congratulations!
As far as learning new language, is concerned, can I put in a word for the global language, Esperanto?
Although Esperanto is a living language, it helps language learning as well
