The Powerful Chile!

Friday, April 30th, 2010

You can make the chile or pepper an addition to your grocery list and your diet. Many recipes are enhanced by it and the beautiful fact is that it is also a great home remedy. You might know the chile as pimento, mother nature provided us with over 300 varieties of chiles. Some of the most popular ones are the japapeno, piquin, guajillo, habanero; all these are very flavorful and also hot!

When you utilize chile in your recipes and eat it you will find that you can postpone illnesses such as the common cold, nasal congestion, you may reduce the possibility of some heart problems, it may prevent brain hemorrhage, and even prevent stomach ulcers. Chile is in many cases used as a natural remedy against cough, gripe, sinusitis and bronchitis. Some studies have shown that it even lowers the cholesterol level (LDL). It may be responsible for the prevention of cerebral hemorrhage, hypertension and cardiac problems.

Do not let fear keep you from chile if you have ulcers, contrary to the common believe and myth that it hurts you if you have ulcers, it fights the stomach ulcers. (It is alkaline not acid).

Just for fun have you ever looked at the ingredients in Guaifenesina, known as Robitussin? The list of ingredients include a substance that is like the one in the chile, great decongestant.

You may even want to start your own garden, plant peppers!

Reading is a tool we can use to get ahead in life. Reading is a part of our daily lives, it is important and necessary to read. When we go grocery shopping, or window shopping or when we go on vacation reading is at the top of the list of things we must know. It makes sense and it makes our experiences less stressful if we know how to read in order to get from point A to point B. It is good to be able to read, some people read because they have to, others read because they want to read, and others simply for the joy of it.

There is a plethora of books in the market, people read some books just for fun such as The Lord of the Rings, a well known novel. Another novel is the Harry Potter series.

The Harry Potter series, took the world by surprise and it inspired many children to read. Children that before the books existed, were not interested in reading at all. Much credit goes to J.K. Rawling who wrote such interesting pieces.

It is up to the parents to help their children choose the appropriate books, careful not to discourage them from reading. Reading can also be very relaxing, it can be an escape, and a refreshing experience.

JAPANESE ANIME

Monday, April 5th, 2010

Today’s young adults and youth are fascinated by Japanese Anime. I am trying to find out what this is all about. There are several sorts of anime shows from Japan for the youth of differing tastes. Many teenage girls like to watch the show called Sailor Moon which is about a blond teenage girl named Serena. She eventually discovers that she was from the Moon Kingdom when her memory comes back to her.

Another anime is called Inuyasha. Inuyasha is a half-human/half-demon hybrid who fell in love with a priestess named Kikyo. They are then tricked into believing that each one betrayed the other. Kikyo binds him to a tree with an enchanted arrow with the intention that he will remain there dormant forever. A girl named Kagome Higurashi appears fifty years later and breaks the spell, awakening Inuyasha and freeing him.

Another popular anime is called Yu Yu Hakusho. The main character in this particular anime is called Yusuke Urameshi, a high school thug who dies in the first episode while trying to save a small boy from getting hit by a car on the street. A girl named Botan, who calls herself “the grim reaper” and also her employer Koenma have Yusuke go through an “ordeal” so that he can regain his life.

Many different sorts of anime exist for people with differing taste: Anime with a dramatic, soap-operatic theme. Others take on a comical theme, and yet there are others that take on a mixture of themes.
