Do you feel exhausted today?

I am sure you have heard about the natural remedies, that can help restore your body by giving you vibrant life! Exposure to a safe level of sunlight, drinking water also considering a healthy fluid level, exercise such as walking or some other kind of exercise age appropriate, good nutrition,adequate rest, relaxation, trust in divine power, a power higher than oneself, perhaps you can think of other elements.

When our lifestyle is such that is requiring constant peak performance,  we can get very frustrated in various ways. We can extremely tax our body, therefore causing further imbalances at a mental and emotional level due to stress. Depending on our personality type we are able to respond to situations that come our way.I am referring to the well known A and B personality Types. A Type personality, competitive, aggressive, ambitious, impatient and also restless , not very good listener. B Type personality  more laid back.

My suggestion to you and to me is to sit down and analyse which is your dominant personality, perhaps you have both types.  Regardless of your personality type, you are responsible for your life and health, you have to come up with a plan that will work for you. Find a way to revitalize your system.   My humble suggestion is to sit down and place your right hand on your forehead and your left on the back of your head, take deep cleansing breaths for about 3 minutes, you will be amazed at the results. If you have a friend or a partner to do this for you is even more pleasant.

Un 45% al 75% de nuestro cuerpo es agua o liquido. Es muy importante mantener un equilibrio o balance fluido. El porcentaje varia de acuerdo a la cantidad de grasa en el cuerpo y la edad de la persona. Como la grasa esta libre de agua, los individuos delgados tiended a tener mas agua en su cuerpo, que alguien con extra capas de grasa, en proporcion a su peso corporal. Hay diferencia en el contenido de agua de acuerdo al sexo, un hombre por ejemplo tiene alrededor de 65% de agua, una mujer 55% de gua por causa de que la mujer goza de mas grasa corporal que el hombre. El factor de la edad es innegable, cuando la persona envejece el nivel del contenido de agua disminuye. Por este motivo debemos tener en mente la impotancia de mantenernos hidratados bebiendo agua, liquidos, fluidos. Debemos saber que tomar, y que no tomar. Si usted bebe alcohol durante un dia muy caluroso, este alchool solo le deshidratara, tambien el cafe le deshidratara porque contiene cafeina. Agua es mejor o alguna bebida con electrolitos como el gatorate o algo semejante. Si se encuentra usted en cinta o embarazada, es especialmente importante que se mantenga hidratada, el hecho de no estar hidratada le puede causar que sin lugar a dudas trabajo de parto prematuramente. No se exponga al sol innecesariamente en estos dias de extremas temperaturas. Si usted padece de diabetes, el extremo calor le puede afectar mucho y con la deshidratacion, empeorar su condicion con el desbalanceo del azucar. Protejase y mantengase hidratado, amese a si mismo alimentandose y dandose agua como si fuera una planta a expuesta a pleno sol.

We must be vigilant when the summer temperature increases and reaches dangerous high levels. The children and the elderly are most vulnerable to extreme temperatures, they are both our treasures, therefore if we want to help keep them intact take special care.
Our hydration is important, the human body is 45% to 75% water. It is important to maintain our body’s fluid balance.The percentage varies from person to person, it mainly depends on the body fat and age of the individual. Since fat is mainly water free, thin individuals tend to have more body water than someone with extra fatty layers, in proportion to body weight. Age is also a factor, young children have more water in proportion to their body weight. A man has about 65% of body water, a woman 55% due to the fat that she carries around, which is more than the fat that an average man carries. Age is also a factor, as we age our body water decreases. We must keep in mind the importance of keeping ourselves hydrated. Drinking water, ingesting liquids is very key, normally drinking to quench our thirst is good . Drinking 8-10 glasses of water is ideal. We have to be cognizant about the dangers of drinking excessive amounts of water. Too much water is not good for anyone, a person can die from too much water intake. Another thing to consider is that drinking beer while working outdoors is the worse thing, this action keeps you dehydrated, because of the alcohol. If you live with diabetes take special care, avoid extreme temperatures and keep hydrated,eat a balanced diet, do not drink alcohol, it makes your sugar levels increase.
If you are pregnant it is imperative that you keep hydrated any time, during the summer you are more prone to dehydration, this is a problem for your unborn baby, if you are dehydrated you can go into early or preterm labor. Your body knows and warns you, you need to drink fluids, avoid getting dehydrated. Love your body, feed it and water it appropriately daily.

The first step to help yourself with your own stress is to accept that you are under stress. You must do that first. Now, you have acknowledge your stress, think of what is giving you the most stress, sit down and hold your forehead with one hand and the back of your head with the other hand, taking 6 slow and deep cleansing breaths while you do this, do it for about 3 minutes if you have the opportunity. You will be amazed at the results. Another thing you may try is placing your fingers, starting with your thumbs on your temples, put the rest of your fingers in the middle of your forehead, right above the bridge of the nose. Apply light pressure pulling the skin as if stretching it. Taking 6 slow and deep cleansing breaths repeat the process if you find it relaxing and healing. You should be feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Another thing you may want to do is find the pressure point between your ring finger and your pinkie, apply pressure for about 15 seconds then release, make sure you do it to both hands.
Tapping joy into your body, can be done. This sounds a little strange but it does work; just tap with your fingers in the middle of your forehead, for about 15 seconds. This will give you a tingling sensation and it will bring joy to your whole being.

Forgiveness can change your life! Part 2

You can acquire internal peace as you decide to forgive. Perhaps the person who has hurt you or has done you wrong has long passed away. Forgiveness does at this point only affect you in a good way, because the other person does not know anything anymore, does not have a chance to talk to you to ask for your forgiveness. If you want to live in peace, with inner contentment, serenity, abundant peace of mind, you must let go of the hostile, vitriol, caustic and bitter feelings you are presently hosting in your heart towards this person . These feelings can only cause you to shorten your life. As you relate and fellowship with others, your bitterness comes across, negativity is conveyed dwarfing your relationships.
Take baby steps and make a decision to forgive today, we can not really forget what has occur to us, because anything that happens to us is part of our life learning experiences, and we should take it as such. God has ask us to forgive, we should forgive however, we need to be wise and know that forgiveness does not mean we have to always reconcile. For instance if someone has done a horrible act to us, we must not reconcile with that person even though we have forgiven him or her. Forgiveness does not call for reconciliation, we must stay away from that person because we do not deserve to be hurt over and over.

“Bloom where you are planted”, I take it as an invitation to do the best I can wherever I go, wherever I am, making use of the resources available to me. What does blooming where you are planted have to do with forgiveness? It is very simple, really. The moment you do not forgive, you stop growing. If someone has done something you perceive as invasive, annoying, inappropriate, even obscene, unpleasant, disgusting, in some way offensive to you, and you  find it difficult to forgive, or unforgivable in your eyes, keeping lists of the things that “someone has done to me”, and holding grudges, unhealthy chemical reactions start taking place in your body. God knows what is good for your body that is why he said to forbear and forgive  one another.  When you truly forgive, you come to have the peace and understanding that can only come from God. No body else can give you that peace. You then, can continue to peacefully live with yourself because you had releasedthe unhealthy grudges that can only drag you down, making you a prisoner of  your own unforgiving heart. You have created your own unpleasant environment, by choosing not to forgive,  relationships can not develop, friendships are at a stand still. Love has to be a part of your life, mind and soul, so you can forgive and forbear those who had done you wrong. Forgiving  is the secret to living a full and joyous life.

When the mother makes the decision to breastfeed her newborn she is taking on a great responsibility, that will benefit both mother and baby. The effects of unrestricted breastfeeding are undeniable, in particular the fact that baby regains his or her birth weight by day 9. Unrestricted breastfeeding requires dedication, patience, and it is time consuming for the mother; it has a positive effect on continuation of breastfeeding, as a result delayed weaning. During the initial period of breastfeeding it is quintessential to give no artificial teats or pacifiers.If the plan is to breastfeed,pacifier must be avoided.The use of the pacifier can have an effect on latch on problems. Breastfeed your baby based on cues, that is when baby shows signs of hunger, do not wait until he is crying, that is a very late sign, and proceeding with feeding until baby shows signs of satiation.  As wonderful as breastfeeding is for the Dyad or mother and her baby, it comes a time to wean. The most common acceptable time to wean is about two years. Not everyone is the same, so there are individual differences in readiness for this process to take total effect. Research shows that the mother is the one that has stronger feelings against termination of breastfeeding. Three kinds of weaning are : Gradual weaning, this one takes weeks or months. Deliberate weaning, takes planning and effort , initiated by the mother. Abrupt weaning , sudden, immediate cessation of breastfeeding, done forcefully by mother on baby or on the dyad by others.

Talk to you positively!

Get in the good habit of talking to yourself in a positive vein, by doing so your present and future will be improved. Try it for two weeks, see how it goes. When you talk to yourself positively, your attitude changes, you are more interested in life, in people and what they are all about. You also attract positive people and positive people are attracted to you. When you see the reality of what I am telling you, you will want to continue on this path. Your success depends on it, you can practice talking to yourself with more of a conscious effort, you will be able to notice cause and effect as you watch the results. You will feel better about yourself, it is very important to feel better about yourself, this dictates your decision making. Decisions affect you and others around you. When you feel good, you will be good to other people, in the same manner if others feel good, chances are they will be “nice” to others. Love yourself and think and talk positive thoughts. If you are good to you and talk positive to yourself, you will treat others well, as you want to be treated. Go ahead, enjoy talking positively to yourself, do not give room to old negative patterns of thinking. Remember negative thoughts are like ants that will only hurt you, shake them off!

Keep your heart in good condition, exercise is good, however you must watch your salt(sodium) intake. When you do, you may help prevent the build up of extra water in your body.If you have problems with your blood pressure, your heart, your kidneys or other conditions that can make your body retain fluid, it is even more important to watch everything you eat, to make sure the sodium you ingest is not within the dangerous level. If you love yourself, follow a low sodium diet. Aim for a 1500 mg sodium diet so that you have 500mg to play with.
Of great importance is to avoid the processed foods such as canned foods,salted chips,popcorn,pretzels,pork rinds, crackers. Avoid deli or lunch meats such as bologna, ham turkey, roast beet, cured or smoked meats, wieners or hot dogs. Avoid any seasoning that has “salt” written in the label, mustard, ketchup, salad dressings, meat tenderizer, mono-sodium glutamate, bouillon cubes or granules.

Is there anything you can use to season your food? Try these: herb and spices,onions, garlic, salt-free seasonings such as Mrs. Dash. Mrs Dash has a variety of flavors . Hot flavor peppers have low sodium content, hot sauce has salt, however you can use a drop or two. Another option is to try lemon or lime juice, vinegar.

What can you eat: Your best choices are all unsalted fresh frozen or even canned fruits and vegetables. Plain meats, fish and cooked meat, One egg has 60Grams of sodium. Milk or Yogurts, low sodium cheese, ice cream, chocolate milk, cottage cheese, dry-non creamed. Cheese, you have the option of Swiss, cheddar, Monterrey jack, mozzarella, read the labels one ounce has 150 to 200 milligrams of sodium .One serving of tomatoes or vegetable juice canned without salt has about 20mg of sodium in 6 ounces of juice. What about breads and cereals? One serving has 150 milligrams of sodium.
Almost no sodium: Shredded or puffed wheat, yeast bread made at home with no salt, plain rice or pasta, cooked cereals regular or quick, tortilla, crackers. If you are a desert person, fruit, ice cream 1/2 cup, sherbet one cup, homemade pie if it is made without salt, homemade pudding(you can count it as a milk serving) unsalted nuts, unsalted butter or margarine.

Hay que saber contar las porciones correctas de carbohidratos para ayudarse a si mismo a controlar el nivel del azucar en la sangre y como resultado el sentirse mejor. Es importante mantener un equilibrio entre los cabrohidratos que se consumen y la insulina que se toma, estos dos elementos determinan el nivel de su azucar en la sangre despues de comer.
Debe aprender o adquirir conocimiento acerca de los alimentos que contienen carbohidratos, ya que ha adquirido este conocimiento, puede mas facilmente planear sus comidas. Pues bien, los alimentos que contienen carbohidratos son aquellos que contienen azucares, por ejemplo: cereales, panes, galletas saladas, pastas, arroz, granos, verduras con almidon como papas, chicharos, maiz, frijoles y legumbres, leche de soya o leche de vaca, yogur, frutas y jugos de fruta. Dulces, pasteles galletas, mermeladas y jaleas, galletas, por supuesto hay que tener mucho cuidado con los azucares que contienen calorias vacias.
Una porcion de carbohidrato contiene 15gramos de carbohidratos. Tenemos que leer las etiquetas de los alimentos, para saber cuanto comer. Una rebanada de pan es una porcion, una tortilla es una porcion,media taza de cereal cocido es una porcion, dos cucharadas de pacitas es una porcion.
Cuantos carbohidratos debe comer al dia? Cada comida debe consistir de 3 a 5 porciones de carbohidratos, y de 1 a 2 porciones de carbohidratos para su refrigerio entre comidas y antes de irse a la cama. Debe revisarse muy regularmente el azucar esto le hara saber si necesita ajustar la hora de ingerir carbohidratos. Como parte de su dieta balanceada debe incluir alimentos que contengan proteinas, se le recomienda que coma 4 a 6 onzas de proteina ya sea de carne o de origen vegetal como lo es la soya.Grasas saludables como el aceite de oliva,nueces. Evite salchichas y chorizos. Cuando lea las etiquetas puede ignorar los gramos de azucar en los datos de nutricion porque ya han sido includos en el total de gramos de carbohidratos.l
