Be willing to make mistakes!

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Learning a new language is an opportunity to make mistakes that are  not costly, however it will pay dividends later in life. At first glance, learning a new language may seem a bit intimidating because of all the new words, tenses, verbs, and grammar that you must learn in order to be fluent. Learning that unfamiliar language does not have to be intimidating, remember one basic fact, every language whether it be Spanish, Japanese, German, Arabic, and even English has grammatical patterns. Find those patterns and you will be well on your way to learning and speaking a new language. The best way to do that is to get a grammar book for the particular language, because grammar is an important component, when you are interested in the writing element. At second glance, if you already speak  another language closely related to the one you wish to learn, for instance, Spanish, and if you know its grammar, learning a third or fourth language such as Portuguese, or Italian, will increase your learning ability, since the three have a common root : Latin.

Latin was the spoken language of the Romans. Spanish, Portuguese, Italian have similar grammatical structure. Be encouraged, by the facts that your brain is amazing and you can learn a new language. Learning a new language does not have to be intimidating, look for the language  patterns and be willing to make mistakes. Love learning.

Your uniqueness is your ticket to success!

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

God made us unique, in a way sort of like the snowflakes. Not a single  snowflake is identical.  As we learn about ourselves, our , likes, dislikes, what makes us tick, what annoys us, what makes us happy, what drives us, what keeps us getting up in the morning to take the challenges of the day, when we are able to see the big picture about ourselves, we can then and only then channel our energies in the right direction, knowing our strengths is pivotal to everything we do.

Fructity is the result  of using your strengths to fulfill your life”s dreams.Play your strengths, use them in your everyday activities, at work, at play, etc. Everyone benefits when  you play your strengths, without a doubt! Especially you. You are born with certain strengths, if you pay close attention to how children act at different times, you can start to see what their strengths are, those strengths are the same  when they become adults. People really do not change, they just grow older.

When you are born, you are who you are, you were born with strengths, your parents are to train you in the way that you should go, enabeling your strengths  to develope and grow so you continue to become more of what you already are.

Your strengths come from God, you must stay connected to him, seek his face, you will only get stronger. Only success can come from your strength connection with him.

Success is Freedom!

Friday, June 11th, 2010

How can you tell if you are successful? It goes back to what you are passionate about doing, enjoying, breathing, sharing. Knowing what makes you tick, and knowing the combination to the lock that can open doors for you. Where is the secret to success? It can be found in the knowledge that you can give up your own victim story, and now you can start taking responsibility for your actions and your words.
Success is also as T. Edison portrayed by the lightbulb 100001 trials. Edison’s experienceechoes that massive failure is the secret to success.
Sucess is you. You have value. God has given you a brain that is fenomenal, better than any computer. Everything you do starts in your brain. Your success is about 20 % of what you do, the rest or the 80% starts in what you think . In other words something you invent is constructed in your brain first and then externally expressed.
You can become free and be successful, successful and free, as you become aware of what is stopping your success and freedom.Remember that our actions and words affect people, we need to take responsibility for our actions and words . We can affect others as our parents affected us, but we are ultimately responsible. We need to understand the world and how it controls us, so we can gain personal freedom, we need to escape the chains of financial distress. Educate ourseves regarding how better manage our financial situation without blaming others for our condition

More on Taxes!!!

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

I was reminded this morning about the TAX CUTS ending soon! What a frightening thought. The whole country must do something about extending the TAX CUTS. When taxes are lowered or cut, investors are encouraged to do what they do best, invest money thus making more money. By January 2011, the Tax cuts that we had enjoyed will be no more, making it more difficult for those of us working, to enjoy our hard earned dollars.  In a real sense the economy will suffer overall, due to tax increases. Some people say that the increase is almost 40%, this will be unsustainable. This tax increase also discourages people and does not stimulate the individuals to work. We need to continue praying about this problem, also we need to include in those prayers the leaders of this great country. They need to have guidance from above to see a better way to proceed. A change needs to take place in the hearts of men, so they can make better decisions to benefit the present and the future generations. We can not allow the reckless spending of our taxes continue in this fashion, we are doing a disservice to our children and grandchildren! It is imperative that we do something about the tax increase coming to us , let us stop it!

Working is a blessing!

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

Just about everyone can agree on one thing, that working is a blessing. There is something innate within us that calls for the need to do something productive. Working is that outlet, and that something that fills that void within the human soul. We must be careful, avoiding working in excess  turning  ourselves  into workaholics. Working in excess can destroy a family, when we lose sight of part of the reason we are working in the first place.  A good plan is to poise to live a balanced life by making the necessary adjustments as situations require.

When you have a job where you work for pay,  or when you have a  job where you volunteer and work  for no monetary remuneration, both of these circumstances provide satisfaction, and thus a blessing to the working man or woman.

We must strive to keep it a blessing to all involved. We do not want our family  to feel that  our  family life is  second to our work.  One way to ensure that we take time to be with our family is to set appointments. marking  them in the calendar, along with our work schedule,  making sure we do not invade our family time with work appointments. It is good to set boundaries, protecting in this way our family life, keeping our work at work.

Working, having a job is a blessing, as we keep it separate from our family life.

Distressed, Worried, and in Pain due to Loss of Job?

Sunday, June 6th, 2010

Loosing one’s job is no small matter. When one looses a job, much is stripped away. For starters dignity, pride, income, the desire to get up in the morning knowing that one will make a difference in some one’s life. Since we are human we make mistakes that can cost us our job! Managers are also human and make mistakes, the mistake of letting an employee go when that employee was doing an excellent job. Perhaps the manager did not see things the same way as the employee. Conflict can be created in this environment, friction is inevitable. In any case, you have joined the ranks of the unemployed, who now have to withstand everything that comes with such territory. You are in pain, worried, and in distress because you do not know where your next meal is going to come from, or how you will be able to make your mortgage payment.
There is hope in the horizon, your situation will not stay still, this will pass and you will find a job. God knew you needed one even before you lost it. It might sound like a cliche, however it is true, God will provide for you, he always comes through. He is good, and does not want his children to suffer.
Line up some interviews, apply for work every chance you get. Overcome worry with confidence that comes from God. Know that you can get more things accomplished with confidence than with dirty worry. Have a strong sense of confidence. Something else you may do, is exercise, you can add energy to your body, blow off steam as you exercise, this activity helps you avoid depression. It charges your body and your spirit.
You can do it!

Memorable Father’s Day!

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Father’s Day is around the corner, you can make Father’s Day a fun and memorable occasion. Visit San Diego, there are many wonderful places to see, one of our favorite places to visit is the zoo. You can save some money if you have a membership card. Usually the card provides free guest passes, and free rides. As a part of the membership benefit  you receive a magazine with discount coupons for the months of June through August. This means you could plan your Father’s Day even if is not exactly on father’s day. June 25 of 2010 the zoo has nighttime activities  at 07:30 p.m., a great bird show . Old San Diego is also another place you can visit, on the weekends they have live music which adds to the ambiance, music while you dine.

Dad might enjoy a quiet day at home, perhaps you can prepare a meal including his favorite entree and dessert, he might even enjoy a noisy day, just being a dad, playing ball in the back yard, or playing a table game with his children .Perhaps reading  a special book, or watching a movie in the evening, while eating popcorn and fruit salad.

The main purpose is to make the day special for him, let him know that he is loved. It does not have to cost a fortune.

Learning to read, helps you in life!

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

Help someone to learn the art of reading, it will change that person’s life! It will change your life also, because you will see that person grow and develop into a better equipped person. Reading is a gift you can give, it will not cost you anything. Give of your time to promote this gift, pass it on and on. Reading is such an important skill to learn in life. Adults and children benefit from it. It is a great challenge to take it upon yourself, because you never know why some people do not know how to read. If the person does not seem to learn, maybe they have a special problem with learning disability. If you find that the person you are trying to help does not learn to read even with much help, dedication and perseverance. Find a specialist and make a referral so they can break through the problem in some way unknown to you.

Reading is very important, some people like to read fiction and some non-fiction. Non-fiction is so much a part of our lives, we are surrounded by non-fiction. In other words, we must learn to read real, factual and useful information.

Non-fiction is in our every day activities, for instance: information on how to do things, instruction manuals, fire safety equipment, trouble shooting solutions. Non-fiction reading is based on facts. It helps you get from point A to point B, otherwise you can get lost. Read, read, read, you will find your way around.
