Frightened by Asthma?

It is frightening to experience and asthma attack, but also it is frightening to be present when someone else is experiencing it. During the asthma attack the muscles around the airway get very tight and the airway swells, becomes inflamed causing the airflow to be reduced causing the very familiar wheezing sound. Much mucus is produced. The attack can last a few minutes or linger for days, it can be life threatening.
If you have allergies, the allergens which could be cat, dust cockroaches, pollens, molds can trigger the asthma symptoms, sending you to the emergency room. You must know what to do, and be ready.
What to do to take care of yourself? Avoid the allergens, do not smoke, if you are planning to replace your carpet choose wood or tile floor instead. Consult your doctor regarding your exercise routine, and medication to help your bronchial tubes muscles relax, inhalers.
In one word asthma is dreadful, if you have an attack is hard to breath, without breath life is not possible, so we could say that breath is life. There are some reflexes in your body that can relieve an asthma attack, with one finger find the lower part of your neck, follow the line straight down your Adam’s apple until you come to spot just above where the collar bones form a V. Press and hold for a few seconds and pull down and inward, massage downward. Your back has on the sides of the spine important pressure points to relieve the asthma attack instantly. Do not be frightened by asthma.

  1. I now know stopping can be almost impossible. I introduced myself to cigarette smoking when i was 14 years old. It was the most unfortunate wrong move I’ve made. Right now 30 years down the road and I have emphysema. I used all of the quit smoking aids and yet nothing helped me. My final try is definitely the electronic cigarette kit in the end.
