Seriously, there is pleasure in buying something for yourself or for someone else. You just have to remember that the gift is in the journey, this means that in your mind you must account for all the things you had to accomplish before you could acquire the money to purchase the object or the service desired. When you buy something after you had gone shopping, think of every detail and every event that led you to the purchase point. Perhaps you had to get up very early in the morning to go to work, once at work you had to perform multiple tasks, some pleasant, other tasks not so enjoyable.
